I too wouldn't know what the letters K and A stand for, but I would know that the word "Ka" is the female version of thanks, or a polite acknowledgment tacked onto the end of most sentences by polite people. I would suggest the confusion was because in the written form, it wasn't clear whether the letters were a word, or an abbreviation.

It seems to me that most of you just want an argument on this thread.

It's up to him what he does with them, isn't it? Why keep trying to rub his nose in them, or tell him he's wrong. It's his decision, if and to what extent he takes them into account in what he does!! bamakmak, it took me a while but I finally realized that lynxlynx is nothing but a troll with reasonably good writing skills. I also enjoy most of his ramblings but I also agree completely, I don't think he/she has ever been to Thailand.
