Wow! Please let us know if they follow through with this!gulfman wrote:For general interest I have solved my wife's internal Thai Airways ticketing problem. Yes, please do. This sounds wonderful!gulfman wrote:Well, so far they have emailed me a confirmed E-Ticket, and no money has changed hands. In fairness, we have used this agency before so my wife and I are known to them, however, I think that this is exceptional service and if it all works out I will ask that the agency details be published.
I ALWAYS use another website for booking MY Hotels in Bangkok, And the rest of Thailand,Wether I be here OR Overseas,And THEY offer the same service,THEY Will book & pay for you and when you arrive in LOS just transfer the money to them,BUT then again I think this ONLY applies once your a REGULAR user of their site and are KNOWN to them......Its ALL based on TRUST !! .For anybody INTERESTED their website is www.bangkokian.com The couple who run the site are Khun Wannipa and her husband Khun Pitanu,BOTH of whom speak English,Infact talk to Pitanu and you would THINK he IS ENGLISH A telephone number for their office in Bangkok is......02-9100857.....www.bangkokian.com.

As requested, I am pleased to report that my side trip by Thai to Hong Kong and return to Bangkok, on an E ticket purchased on my behalf by a friend in Bangkok went as smooth as silk practically without the check in staff even looking at my e ticket. They just referred to my name and flight in their computers. Thai's original Melbourne check in staff was also great, issuing boarding passes for the connecting flights Melbourne to Bangkok and Bangkok to Hong Kong which flights went without a hitch.
The only slight problems were logistical and were aggravated by my arthritic knees. The gate to Hong Kong was changed at swampy from A1a to E10 which meant a trek from one side of the airport to the other and a second check through customs. Then when the plane from Hongkers arrived in Bangkok at 9.30am we passengers were deplaned down the staircase to buses for reasons entirely unknown because the airport was not at all busy. A well dressed lady taxi tout tried to convince me to accept the fare of 1250 Baht from swampy to Don Muang, but I booked an authorised taxi for 500 baht.
The Thai flight to Udon was also very good and on time so I have nothing but praise for all the Thai staff I encountered on the ground and in the air.
