Trouble logging on....

Post by beer monkey » February 23, 2008, 10:18 pm

Having a spot of bother when logging in, on the forum page my usual log-on choice it accepts my name and password but i don't get logged on, so i go to 'home page' and log on and it logs me on ok, but when i click on the forum link i am not logged on...

I am sure this has cropped up before and the answer lies somewhere with-in the depths of the forum

This only started yesterday maybe something to do with the new classifieds section being added....??

Also just logged on and it was not showing any new posts...when infact there was 3 or 4 new posts since last visit.
Just me or anyone else experienced this.

BM, try clearing your cookies and cache and see if that helps.

I'm not sure about the gateway errors and time-outs. Fortunately there are no errors connecting via my com so I would guess the problem's not server side, I'll keep an eye on it anyway.

The server was down last week a couple of times (1 hour each time) but the host has sorted the problem now.

Cheers. :D

Thanks for the feedback. I've received several emails from members complaining that they cannot login; I'll tell them to do the same.

Cheers. :D

I can log on,no problem, with user id and password but a couple of times now when I want to send a reply I press the submit button and once again I am asked for my user id and password instead of my message being submitted.
When I enter my user id and password again, the screen that pops up shows me as not being logged in and,of course,my message is lost.
This happened a couple of times on Friday & Saturday but is OK today.Never had this problem before Friday,I should add.

I'm not getting any problems. I've even logged off and back in. No delays at all. I am in Phuket though. I regularly delete my cookies, (using Piriform CCleaner).

I wonder if it is a local server.

I have no problems here... Central Udon.

As a matter of interest what browser are you using BM or anybody having problems. I tried Firefox Beta 3.0 for about 20 minutes and didn't like it. I was having trouble logging into Yahoo mail with it. I'm back to using Firefox Ver. 2.0.0.12.

Using same same Firefox as you and Farang...could only log on via home page just now.

Somethings just out a fraction somewhere i am sure.
