New Restaurant

Post by jetdoc » March 31, 2008, 5:53 pm

Had the pleasure to eat at a new place, A&A Restaurant, on Thepburi Rd. I ordered the Ribs, 69 baht and very good. Wife said her Thai dish was tasty also. Give it a try;o)

What part of the city is Thepburi Rd. located?
Could you give a map reference?

Grid O 14, same soi as Lotus Condotel I think. The restaurant is on what is called locally Soi Paradise and Thepburi road.

Hey Jetdoc.
Nicko AKA Panda here.
Just doing some research for future reference.

Good food at reasonable prices is important.

Isn't that what always happens. I think it is taught in Thai business 101  :
"Find a successful business and copy it".
I'm not defending it. However, how difficult is it to come up with a decent BBQ sauce?:

if this is the case, as you say, happens all the time here. at least they didn't open up next door, which is the usually practice. than another and another till the customer base is divided and competition so tough, that we do benefit some low pricing on some thai stuff.

Yes thought about that ever since i first tasted that winning sauce...if it has not got a copyright on it, then its wide open for anyone else to make, but opening in the same close nit town.... are the Ribs exactly the same as Glens at Nongs..? anyone else got a report on the place..?
Also the people at A A rest might even be thinking about taking full advertising on here.

Nongs has a different cook now,so the recipe went along with the old cook. That means it is open season!

Anyone can come up with a tasty sauce, if that is their purpose,by some diligent practicing,so I wouldn't read to much into it!

I think Nongs Ribs is in good hands now and he gives his all trying to make sure the customer is satified,so he has my loyalty!

I am quick to speak up to ownership about any problems and I especially like the way he handles that in a sincere manner!

Curiosity got the best of me, so went and checked it out. I had small order of ribs. It's definitely not Nong's rib sauce. These were not sweet & tangy like Nong's, rather the sauce had a hint of what I believe was curry. Interesting flavor, not what I expected. I wouldn't say they were better or worse than Nongs, just different taste. My order of ribs with a side fries was 79bt. Did notice the menu was "similar" to Nong's.

What a recipe for disaster! =D>

Take the worst waitress, the cook with a lousiest attitude and a Water Buffalo University enrollee to bankroll it for the pretty worthless waitress named Aun(probably part of the name AA ) ,steal the recipe and menu of your past employer and open a business down the street! #-o #-o

I wouldn't eat there if the ribs and snatch was golden and free!!

And Mr.Water Buffalo,I hope you get a big lesson and earn your doctorate degree in one big swoop because I met you as you befriended their former employer! Underhanded loyalty like that deserves its just rewards! [-X

Competition makes the world go around

Aways has and always will

and is best for the consumer....But you all knew that.
